Vazquez commits his future to Real Madrid until 2024

Haven’t been able to reach an agreement till recently, the 29-year-old has been strongly linked with a move abroad, to either Bayern Munich, Milan, Manchester United, or Chelsea.

However, the Los Blancos have tied Lucas Vazquez to a new contract through to 2024 to prevent him from becoming a free agent this summer.

The club stated on their official website: "Real Madrid C. F. and Lucas Vazquez have reached an agreement to extend the player’s contract and he will remain at the club for the next three seasons, until 30 June 2024."

Graduating from the youth ranks of Real Madrid, the Spaniard has also spent a short spell at Espanyol on loan in the 2014/15 season before a buy-back option in their deal became activated by the Madrid giants.

Registering 26 goals in his 240 Blancos appearances, he has bagged two La Liga titles along with three Champions League trophies in his five-year career with Real Madrid’s first team.
