Udinese will not come down from €40m over De Paul

The club will not negotiate about lowering De Paul’s price and €40m is their only price.

There are many speculations about

Udinese’s

Rodrigo De Paul

, and the club insists that they will not let him go for less than €40 million. Leeds United and Atletico Madrid have already shown interest in signing the player, but the price seems to be a problem.

Leeds United

is reportedly monitoring the 27-year-old’s performance, and

Atletico Madrid

has also shown interest in signing De Paul, but the Italian side is not intending to reconsider the price for the high-profile player, and this may cause all the potential moves to be rejected.

De Paul, who has a contract with the club until 2024, had claimed that he doesn’t want to leave the club in an interview earlier this year, claiming that all the rumors are false.

“I don’t know when my last day here will be,”

he said

. "I will give everything for Udinese until that moment. There were many rumors about my future in January, but I immediately met the director to tell him I wanted to go nowhere.

“I closed doors for everyone, my daughter was born here, and my son is going to be born here, he will be Friulano.”

Atletico Madrid is reportedly offering €20m (£17m/$24m), plus Argentine defender Nehuen Perez and Udinese have already rejected their offer, but they aren’t giving up on their hopes for signing the payer.

The club, however, doesn’t seem to be able to pay €40m in the current financial climate, but they are still negotiating with Udinese over the 27-year-old.
