We need some magic miracle and fairy dust to stay up – Allardyce

West Brom boss believes they need a miracle to escape the relegation.

West Brom

faced

Wolves

yesterday in a Premier League clash and the two sides settled for a 1-1 draw.

The Baggies are sitting 19

th

in the table with 26 points, 10 points away from the safe zone, and with only four matches left of the season, West Brom manager

Sam Allardyce

believes it would take a miracle to save The Throstles from relegation.

“We owe it to everyone to keep a professional attitude and go out and try to win every game we’ve got left and hope every team above us loses every game and then, by some magic miracle and some fairy dust, we stay up,”

Allardyce said.

“I can’t believe we haven’t won or taken the chances we created. It wasn’t a great performance in the first half an hour but having made the change of the system we got better.

“We had two magnificent chances in the second half and missed them both. I’m very sad for the players they haven’t converted this game into a victory.

“You look at Wolves’ goal and say ‘why can’t we get a bit of luck like that?’ It was horrendous conditions but we mastered it better in the second half.”

The English also confirmed he has started future talks with the club.

He added:

“We have already touched on it, not an awful lot but as time ticks down we’ll do a little bit more and a bit more.”
