David Luiz out of action after a ‘small knee procedure’

According to Arsenal, the Brazil international is undergoing rehabilitation following his knee procedure on Sunday.

will miss the upcoming weeks’ clashes as he underwent a “small procedure” on his knee on Sunday, based on reports from

Arsenal

.

The 33-year-old did not feature for the Gunners when they were vanquished 3-0 at the hands of

Liverpool

on Saturday as he felt discomfort in the training ground.

Arsenal stated:

"David Luiz underwent a small procedure on his right knee on Sunday morning.

"The procedure has been a success and David Luiz is now back at home rehabilitating. He will be able to return to daily support and recovery with our medical team at the training centre in the coming days.

"David Luiz is expected to be back to full fitness and available for selection in the upcoming weeks."

The Brazilian has started 26 games out of 29 appearances he made. The Gunners’ win rate in the 19 league clashes with David Luiz is 36.8 percent, while the rate is 45.5 percent in the 11 matches he has missed.
