Tottenham’s clash with Arsenal is ‘about pride’ – Hugo Lloris

Despite the two teams’ struggles in the Premier League, the Spurs goalkeeper insists that their current state is what calls for a better performance against Arsenal.

has given an utmost importance to their upcoming clash and their weekend encounter will mean more than just their position being at stake.

Jose Mourinho’s squad currently sit 7th while Arsenal are 10th in the Premier League standing, and the Spurs goalkeeper insists that their remaining games are no longer about their stance in the table.

"It’s not necessary to see the table,"

also commented on their upcoming clash, adding:

"It’s a massive game and we are excited and we will take it like it is a derby. We know how to play these games. We are ready."

Throughout Tottenham’s last five encounters with Arsenal, the Spurs were able to defeat their opponents in all of the games including their recent clash in December, which ended with a 2-0 win for Mourinho’s side.
