Benzema: Cristiano's departure allowed me to play a different role

El Pais

about his time with Portugal international.

He said:

“Cristiano's departure allowed me to play a different role. He scored 50 goals every year and you had to adapt to his game. He is one of the best in the world and I was happy by his side.”

Since Ronaldo left the club, Benzema finally found the chance to show his true potential and has scored 74 goal in 129 appearances he made for the team.
