Ole won't let Bruno leave for international games

Manchester United are planning to do as Liverpool did and prevent their players to join their national teams.

Liverpool

are planning to avoid sending their players for international games.

Manchester United

are planning the same according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they don’t want some of their players to go to their home countries. Because of the different regulations of Covid-19 in different countries, some of the players should isolate themselves for a while after their return.

Bruno Fernandes

and

Alex Telles

are two of the players which will have problems if they go to their home countries. Ole says that it doesn’t make sense if they send Bruno to Portugal.

Solskjaer was asked about the predicament following the midweek goalless draw at Crystal Palace and said:

“We’ve not sat down and made a proper call on that one, but it doesn’t make sense if you lose your player for 10 days’ isolation.

“We are the ones paying the players and from what I understand that is the rule, FIFA have given the rule they don’t have to be released so I would think that would be a hard call to make – to let them go and play in red-list countries.”

The Norwegian added:

“I want Bruno, of course, ready against Brighton and hopefully we are through in Europe and against Tottenham after that break. Of course I do.”
