Orlando City sign former Milan forward Pato

The Brazilian forward has been without a club since August when he cut ties with Sao Paulo.

Alexandre Pato

has reached an agreement with MLS club

Orlando City

to join the American club as a free agent. The 31-year-old decided to part ways with

Sao Paulo

in August and will continue his career in the USA. The Florida club published an official statement about the transfer on their website. 

“We are very excited to welcome Pato to Orlando. He’s a veteran player who has featured at some of the top clubs around the world and has a proven track record at the international level. The experience that Pato brings with him will be invaluable to the Club,”

Orlando City EVP of Soccer Operations

Luiz Muzzi

explained in a statement published on

the club's official website.

“Pato is a high-calibre player and we’re excited to add another great target up top.”
