Benevento's Inzaghi: 'I am happy with the draw'

Benevento head coach Filippo Inzaghi is assured that his team are 'on the right path' after their 1-1 stalemate against Sampdoria.

"I am extremely satisfied with my team, I am happy with the draw," the 47-year-old coach told Sky Sport.

"Sampdoria are a tough opponent, they had beaten Inter not long time ago, if they are happy with the result, it means we are on the right path.

"We suffered, but if Samp say the escaped from danger, it means we are on the right path.

"It's a pity Audero saved everything, it happens not to kill off the game, this is football."

Sampdoria head manager

Claudio Ranieri

was also content with the match's outcome.

"I take home his compliments and the awareness that my team can pay on a par against any opponent," Inzaghi continued.

"We would have deserved the three points, next time we must be more clinical.

"My players were sad, but at the beginning of the season, when everyone thought we would have been relegated, we would have celebrated a draw against Samp."
