Atletico Madrid missed out on deadline day move for Andre Silva

Atletico Madrid have supposedly missed out on the deadline day move for Eintracht Frankfurt attacker, Andre Silva.

Diego Simeone went for Lyon forward, Moussa Dembele on a six-month loan contract after allowing Diego Costa to leave in January.

However, the Argentinian boss was going for more attacking targets in the final days of the winter window, as he wanted to improve his team for their La Liga title challenge.

Reportedly, he questioned the availability of Portuguese international,

Silva

, who moved in the Bundesliga at the start of the season from AC Milan.

The 25-year old was in Sevilla on loan for the 2018/19 season, before moving in Eintracht on a season-long loan in 2019, before his permanent transfer.

Eintracht

are said to be open to a sale, but talks were blocked after Atletico, and other interested parties, rejected to meet their asking price.
