Brebner unhappy with Victory’s performance against Roar

Goals from McDonald, Danzaki, and Wenzel-Halls in the starting 17 minutes of the match promised an easy win for Roar. McDonald and Danzaki later completed their braces while Luis Lawrie-Lattanzio and Jake Brimmer scored Victory’s goals.

Victory’s

boss told a post-match interview:

"Extremely (disappointing). To go 3-0 down in under 20 minutes is unacceptable. There were obviously moments where we could've defended better, there were individual mistakes, but I think we got what we deserved in that first 20 minutes because we were way off it."

"There's been no indication at all. I'm not even going to mention the obvious one that we could use as an excuse because there were two teams out there. It purely came down to not having the intensity, the desire and the will to step out there."

On

McManaman

and

Gestede’s

absence at Roar, the 43-year-old coach said:

"[McManaman] was a bit tender in the area that he's had complaints with over the last two weeks so again we didn't want to risk him, but he travelled. I would think so (a chance to play against the Western Sydney Wanderers on Wednesday)."

"[Gestede is] an opportunity. We'll have a look at him over the next few days. He's definitely a chance as well."
