Jay O’Shea signs new deal with Brisbane Roar
Brisbane Roar midfielder Jay O’Shea has extended his stay with the A-League side.
The Irishman, who won the Players’ Player of the Year award in his first season in the A-League, has been an integral part of the
Brisbanesquad during his 31-game spell at the club.
O’Shea
was quick to take his chance to extend his stay in Australia and intends to finish his career with Brisbane.
“Since Day 1, I have loved every minute. Everyone at the club has made me feel so welcome,”
O’Shea said
.
“My family are happy here, we’re settled, and I would love to stay here beyond football – there’s only one place I wanted to be.
“What we’re putting together here, there’s a great mix of experience and youth and we’re building something really special – not just this year but locking players in for years to come shows that the club really has ambition and I’m looking forward to being a part of that.”
CEO David Pourre added
: “It is a momentous occasion for Brisbane Roar to now have two of our leaders, two of our most-senior and influential players signed on for the upcoming A-League seasons.
“Jay has been an exemplary member of our Club and will give plenty for our supporters to be excited about in the years to come.”
