Attacking is my strength, I see myself in Hakimi & Cuadrado - Reynolds

The 19-year-old, who has joined the Serie A club Roma from FC Dallas, is confident his new side can help him have his spark.

Roma

’s new full-back

Bryan Reynolds

thinks of himself as the likes of Achraf Hakimi and Juan Cuadrado. The United States youngster has joined Roma after a long series of events which at one point had him close to signing with

Juventus

.

The 19-year-old is full of confidence and self-trust, saying: "

Attacking is one of my strengths. I am a fast and strong player and I cross well. I see myself in Hakimi and Cuadrado."

The Giallorossi have pronounced his addition to the squad and it was revealed that Reynolds will be wearing the No.19 shirt.

Juventus midfielder

Weston McKennie

welcomed his fellow countryman to

Serie A

.

He said: "

McKennie is one of the best midfielders around, proving that the American system is working well. More and more American footballers are playing in Europe, children are starting to have role models to follow and look to them for inspiration."

In order to have more chances in playing first-team football, Reynold opted for Roma. He aims to thrive as a player, and he would not have been given that opportunity should he have chosen to join Juventus.

He said: "

[Roma head coach Paulo] Fonseca reiterated that this would be the best choice for my growth. I am very happy and I am sure I have made the best choice. Rome is the right place to grow.

"The basis of my choice is the technical project. the possibility of being integrated immediately with the first team, of being close to great players and speeding up the acclimatising process as much as possible. My hope is to be able to play a few games between now and the end of the season."

Reynolds had undergone medical tests on Monday and then signed a loan deal with the Giallorossi, who competed in acquiring his services with an €800,000 (£700,000/$1m) per year offer. The 19-year-old will sign a permanent move in the summer.
