Rui Silva becomes Real Betis first summer signing

Real Betis reached an agreement over the signing of Granada goalkeeper Rui Silva on a free transfer at the end of the season.

According to a report carried by El Mundo Deportivo, the Portuguese goalkeeper has signed a four-year deal with

Real Betis

with the option of a further year.

Betis have had a problem in the position with

Claudio Bravo

, who has joined the club in the summer on a free transfer, suffering from injuries this season.

It is reported that the transfer for the 26-year-old goalkeeper will not be made official until the conclusion of the current season, although both sides are informed that the contract has already been agreed.

Silva initially joined the club from Portuguese team Nacional in January 2017 and has received his first call to the Portuguese national squad last year.

He has regularly been one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the Spanish top-flight since Granada’s promotion in 2019.
