Liverpool seal Ozan Kabak’s loan move from Schalke
The Turkish international could complete his move to Anfield with a permanent deal in summer.

Ozan Kabak, joined
Liverpoolon a loan after the Reds succeeded in their negotiations over the player in the final days of January.
The 20-year-old will be loaned to the
Premier Leagueside until the end of the season with the option to buy for £18 million ($25m).
Kabak has joined Liverpool for a loan fee of £1m ($1.4m) while
Ben Davies, who also joined the Reds, came to Anfield for an amount of £1.6m.
Seeing many of their players sidelined, Liverpool were forced to dive into the January transfer season despite their reluctance to making any moves.
Before Kabak, the Reds were hoping to sign
Marseille’s
Duje Caleta-Car, but the Ligue 1 side’s attempts to find a replacement for the player led Liverpool to shift attention to Schalke’s man.
The Turkish international, who played for
Galatasarayand then
Stuttgartbefore joining Schalke, had 36 appearances with the latter until he joined Liverpool.
During his time with Schalke, Kabak was banned for five games and received a €15,000 Euro fine after spitting at
Werder Bremen’s
Ludwig Augustinssonfor which he apologized on
admitting that it was an accident.
Liverpool have also welcomed other new additions to their youth squad including goalkeeper Liam Hughes and forward Kaide Gordon.
