Barcelona’s court defense against Quique Setien

Reportedly, the former Barcelona boss has charged the Blaugrana of failing to completely pay the coach after ending his deal earlier this year and the Blaugrana breaching the terms of his deal.

Barca

announced the removal of

Setien

in mid-September, more than a month after he was dismissed from his first-team coaching duties, but reports confirm that his lawyers will ask for €4m from the team in compensation.

The team's defense will zoom on

Setien

’s inability to meet his managerial deadlines and his poor final results, which subsequently weakened the terms of his deal.

The Cantabrian coach only managed 25 games at the helm, winning 16 matches, drawing four and losing five, and Dutchman, Ronald Koeman, who currently leads the team in third place in the league standings, took over.

Setien

was selected in January 2020 with the team at top of the league, but he couldn't stop Real Madrid from achieving the title while they put out of the Copa del Rey and Champions League at the quarter-final stages, and lastly, they finished the campaign trophyless.
