Milik joins Marseille on loan
The 26-year-old has joined the Ligue 1 club on loan from Napoli until 2022 with an obligatory €12million buy option.
The Poland international joined the Partenopei from
Ajax
for a reported €35m in 2016, although his
Napoli
career was hampered with knee injuries, he was able to attract interests from big clubs such as
Tottenham
and
Everton
.
However,
Arkadiusz Milik
decided to join
Marseille
, who sit sixth in the Ligue 1 table. According to reports, a permanent deal would be an initial €8m plus €4m in bonuses.
"I am happy and proud to announce that I am officially a player of Olympique de Marseille, one of the most prestigious clubs in Europe,"
Milik
wrote on Twitter.
"I'm ready for this new adventure. Allez OM."
