Miura extends his contract with Yokohama at the age of 53
Kazuyoshi Miura, 53, is the first Japanese winner of the Asian Footballer of the Year award.
, the oldest goalscorer in Japanese football and the veteran forward of the J1 League has signed a new contract with
Yokohamaat the age of 53. He has committed to his 17th season and it will be his 36th season in his career. Miura turns 54 next month.

Miura said after the match. Miura said his
"hopes and passion for football are only increasing" However, he has only played 7 times in the last 2 years.

he said.
He started his career with Santos in 1986 and he became the first Japanese winner of the Asian Footballer of the Year award in 1992.
