Thiago, Milner, and Shaqiri are back to training, Liverpool boosted

The three have not made an appearance for a while. However, Klopp could face a fierce struggle due to the packed fixture over the festive period.

Liverpool

have been given a burst of energy as

Thiago Alcantara

James Milner

, and

Xherdan Shaqiri

are back to training since Wednesday. The trio have sustained injuries and been out of action for some time leaving

Jurgen Klopp

deeply struggling with all the injury cases in the team.

Since Milner is able to play in many positions, the focus leans toward Thiago as he appeared in only two matches after moving from

Bayern Munich

.

Klopp commented on Thiago’s knee injury: "

On that day when he got injured in that bad challenge in the Everton game, there was another bad injury and after the scan there was good news and really bad news.

"[With Thiago] nothing was broken or ruptured but it was still a massive impact on the knee.

"The impact on the leg was that big that it's still not okay. It is not massive, and he trains from time to time, not at the moment because we have to realise we have to go through further steps

."

His absence and talent have not been desperately missed as Liverpool still managed to hold the title on the

Premier League

table. However, having Thiago back in the team would be beneficial for Klopp. Notwithstanding the Reds’ desire to have them back, Klopp is not risking any rush until the trio are fit enough to get into action again.

Liverpool have been having a hectic schedule this season as they are fighting for domestic and European titles. However, facing

West Brom

,

Newcastle

, and

Southampton

in nine days cracks it up a notch for the Reds and Klopp has to decide on whether he plays the trio.

Kostas Tsimikas, Diogo Jota, Joe Gomez, and Virgil van Dijk are currently out of action and in the recovery stage.
