Zidane response to Koeman for suggesting referees favor Real Madrid

Zidane is annoyed with Coleman's statement that the referee was in Real Madrid’s favor and insisted he will never enter into such a debate.

Real Madrid

have won two penalties and conceded five goals and this has annoyed

Zinedine Zidane

from the controversy surrounding the

Eibar

match.

Ronald Koeman

said that the failure to award a penalty to Eibar late in their 3-1 defeat to Madrid is not it does not make sense to him.

When the ball hits

Sergio Ramos

's arm inside the penalty area, Eibar trailed by just a single goal at the time.

No decision was considered for a free-kick, a call that Koeman, who also aimed VAR during Clasico defeat to Madrid in October, claimed nine of 10 people would disagree with.

He told reporters:

“For my part, I think it is a penalty, but that is all. The referee and his VAR team decided otherwise, and I respect that.

"But yes, if they ask me then yes, it’s a penalty.”

When Zidane becomes aware of these statements, he responded:

"It has been annoying because I never get involved with the referees.

"I think the referees are in charge of the game and they do a good job. Like everyone here, they just try to do their job. I never get involved with them. It's a very difficult job.

"What Koeman said I'm not going to get into that. We have an important game tomorrow, a very demanding game, and that's the only thing

we're

thinking about."

In fact, he believes that decisions are more against Madrid than in their favor.
