Court has ruled that Maradona’s body must be preserved for a DNA test

The Argentine legend died of a heart attack and was buried on November 26 in a cemetery outside Buenos Aires.

, with his Five recognized children and six with filiation requests are involved. Among the six who are involved is

Magali Gil

, 25, who claims she found out that the football icon was her biological father two years ago. Although Maradona's lawyer had previously told Reuters that DNA samples already exist, the court ruled that his body must not be cremated while the case is running.

The National Court of First Instance in Civil Matters has stated: "Ms. Gil requests that a study be carried out ... and that for this purpose the acting prosecutor's office send a DNA sample."

Maradona

is the legal father to four children in Argentina and one in Italy, which he had during his time in Napoli.
