Aissa Mandi has tested positive for COVID-19
Real Betis have confirmed that the center back Aissa Mandi tested positive for COVID-19.
The team had to take the PCR test before their trip to Atletico Bibao while Mandi is crossed out from the squad because of suspension.
He will be in quarantine for a fortnight, but he doesn’t seem to have close contact with other teammates after his return from international games.
The Algerian has played an important part in Manuel Pellegrini’s team. Since the beginning of the season, he has been on starting line-up in seven games out of nine, and missing those two games because of picking up two red cards against Getafe and Barcelona.
Pellegrini is now deciding to replace either Victor Ruiz or Martin Montoya in squad at San Mames.
