Cooper: "My family and myself will be in debt to these supporters forever"

Nottingham Forest defeated Arsenal in a crucial match.

defeated Arsenal 1-0 thanks to a goal from Awoniyi, increasing their distance from the relegation zone.

With this victory, Nottingham Forest destroyed Arsenal's chances of becoming champions and ensured that Man City would be the Premier League champion.

Steve Cooper, who was at risk of being fired during a period of the season, thanked Nottingham Forest fans for their support.

“My family and myself will be in debt to these supporters forever,”

“What they have given me this year in an era of people always wanting change and having no patience, our supporters have been the complete opposite. They have been the best with me in some difficult times. That takes some doing.

“The whole sense of being part of something, being wanted and that sense of belonging is such a powerful feeling. Our supporters have set the standard for how to support a team.”

He said.

With this win, Nottingham Forest have reached 37 points and are now 6 points away from the relegation zone.
