Tottenham are blocked to bring Foster according to Premier League rules

Premier League officials have reportedly blocked Tottenham's attempt to sign retired goalkeeper Ben Foster after they lost Hugo Lloris because of his injury.

After losing Hugo

Lloris

to injury during their 1-0 win over the Citizens,

Tottenham

have an eye on potential candidates as Lloris will probably miss Hotspur's matches for at least two months.

Among many options as Lloris' temporary replacement, English retired goalkeeper, Ben Foster is Tottenham's main target but, according to Daily Mail, premier league will not let them sign him outside the transfer window.

The 39-year-old Foster, who also spent time with Manchester United and West Brom, spent the last years of his career with Watford club in the Premier League. After Watford's relegation, he announced his retirement although Newcastle had an attempt to sign him in the summer.
