Koeman: "Sergino Dest is a lot better than Sergi Roberto"
Unable to convince the Catalan club across 72 appearances since joining Barcelona from Ajax in 2020, the American right-back was allowed to leave the club on loan for Milan with an option to buy.

Sergino Destfrom Ajax, believes the 22-year-old is a better defensive option than Sergi Roberto for
Barcelona. He told
Andy van der Meijde’s YouTube channel:
“Dest isn’t any worse than Roberto. I didn’t understand him leaving.”
On
Frenkie de Jong, who rejected an offer from Manchester United and has impressed so far, Koeman added:
“Frenkie is great. I think he’ll stay. He’s deservedly playing so much
.”
Sergino Dest joined
Milanon loan from Barcelona with an option to buy for €20m. The right-back was brought in as a late deal to replace Alessandro Florenzi, who is expected to be out of action for a couple of months through injury.
Dest had also been linked with Villarreal and Manchester United this summer, but an agreement was reached last night, and he flew in this morning for the medical and signed the paperwork at Casa Milan.
