Manchester United ready for another attempt to sign Barcelona's De Jong
Manchester United reportedly still wants to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona in the Summer transfer window.
According to Sport newspaper,

Frenkie De Jong,and they will consider making a bid for him in the summer. The report claims that Eric Ten Hag still wants to add the Dutch midfielder to his team and will push Manchester United to move for him once again.
De Jong was United’s top target for the previous summer transfer window, but the Dutchman refused to leave Barcelona, even though the Catalan club attempted to force him out.
Casemiro joined Manchester United from Real Madrid in the summer window, when De Jong decided to stay at Barcelona. De Jong and ten Hag worked together at Ajax and the Dutch manager still thinks his team needs a player like
Barcelonamidfielder and certainly wants a reunion with him in the Premier League.
Barcelona still has financial problems, and they may be forced to sell a few players, including De Jong. Sports also suggest that Barcelona is trying to convince De Jong to sign a new deal on reduced terms.
The 25-year-old De Jong joined Barcelona from Ajax in 2019 for an initial fee worth €75 million. He has scored 15 goals in 163 matches and won Copa Del Ray in 2021. Barcelona also recently won the Supercopa de España.
