"Juventus will never die", Patrice Evra calls on fans to stand by the club

Former Juventus defender Patrice Evra has asked fans to stand behind the club after the Serie A side was deducted 15 points.

Juventus

has been docked 15 points following an investigation into the club's past transfer dealings.

It was less than 20 years ago, that the Serie A giants were embroiled in a match-fixing saga that saw them stripped of titles and relegated from

Serie A

in 2006.

Now after 17 years, the 36-time Serie A winner, have dropped from third to the 10th place in the table.

On his Instagram page, Patrice Evra reacted to this news and urged fans to stick by the club in this difficult time.

“Good morning to all my dear Juventini, to the real hunchbacks because you have to be a real hunchback right now. I don’t need Juventus, as I’ve always said, I love Juventus, that’s the difference.

“It’s a difficult moment, we’ve been penalised 15 points, it’s not the first time and it hurts, but whose fault is it? I’m not here to spit on anyone, it’s always our fault.

“I only ask one thing of all the players and managers, and that is to respect this shirt, but above all to give everything. I remember when you sang: ‘We want 11’. Don’t make me come back… Let’s talk seriously.

“These people are enjoying it, why? Because for how many years have we done badly? And it’s not as if we stole on the pitch, no. We ate them all, nine Scudetti in a row…. So enjoy that you’re first in the table, but the Old Lady never dies, she’s hurt, but when she comes back don’t come crying.

“And they will return because history never dies. So, I ask all true hunchbacks to stand behind this Juve because it’s easy to love it when everything is going well…. No, we need everyone now.

“So forza Juve, fino alla fine. I love this Old Lady! Yes, I’m crazy as hell. Sorry I didn’t make this video earlier, but I don’t like to jump on things. When it’s quieter, your heart speaks.

“I could have put a picture, but no, I said what my heart says. I have never forgotten you and I will never forget you, that is the important thing.”

Eva joined Juventus in 2014 and left the club in January 2017. He won two Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia with the Old Lady.
