Gunners are flying high but Arteta asks for consistency from his squad

With Gabriel Jesus out, Arsenal are at their most vulnerable ahead of their toughest run of fixture.

The Gunners were given quite a scare when their lost their first half back to action against West Ham United but Arsenal’s young front three were the difference makers as each scored a goal to win the match 3-1 for Arsenal. Now Mikel Arteta wants those three to continue performing like this while Gabi Jesus is out.

While Arsenal were brilliant at times last season, there is no denying that Gabriel Jesus’ impact on their season has been huge. The Brazilian’s energy on and off the field has propelled the Gunners to the top of the league as he adds his considerable experience in winning trophies to Arteta’s young side.

Unfortunately for the Gunners though, Gabriel Jesus was injured in the World Cup which meant that Arsenal had to make due with

Nketiah

as his replacement as well as expect a lot more from the brilliant

Saka

and Martinelli duo. So far they have delivered on those expectations but Arteta isn’t satisfied.

"It's just one game. They have to show the consistency and the capacity to do that every three days,"

Arteta told in a press conference.

"That's what we need from the players. Obviously, we had a big blow with Gabi, and not having him had a big impact on the team.

"We always said Eddie had the quality and he just needed the opportunities to show that. We are really happy with where we are, but as I always said, there are a lot of things we can still do better and improve."

Arsenal has attacking reinforcements coming in soon as the last season’s magnificent Emile Smith Rowe is getting ready to be back in action after being sidelined for the majority of this current season.

"He's made some big steps in the last week or so, he took part in a few training sessions lately and is looking good. We are really keen to have him back soon."

Arteta said.

Arsenal are also in active talks with Shakhtar Donets over their exciting young winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, with the Gunners having their initial £57million rejected. When asked about the player, as always Arteta refused to talk about the players from other clubs.
