World Cup winner Messi set to extend with PSG

Fabrizio Romano reports that an agreement has been reached between Lionel Messi and PSG to extend his presence at Paris.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that

Lionel Messi

is close to accept a new deal from PSG to extend his two-year stay at Paris even further.

Romano first broke the news that while Lionel Messi has been in talks with both Inter Miami and Barcelona, the talks were never advanced with either club. However, all the Paris Saint-Germain staff have been pushing for months for Messi to sign a new deal.

While the length and the details of the contract hasn’t yet been worked out, it seems that Leo Messi will at least stay on for a year at PSG.

There haven’t been anything officially signed by Messi but he is expected to get an official offer when he returns to PSG training.

The 7-time Ballon d’Or winner finally achieved his dream of winning the World Cup and his stocks are now higher than ever but it seems that PSG’s insistence in addition to his great form in Ligue 1 has convinced the Argentine to extend his stay at

PSG

.
