Breaking: Germany players protest FIFA OneLove ban by covering mouth
After FIFA announced bans for captains wearing OneLove armband, which was designed to protest LGBTQ+ rights in Qatar, the German side appeared in their team picture wearing rainbow colors on their boots as well as covering their mouths with their hands.
The ‘OneLove’ campaign was started before Euro 2020 and was supported by the national teams of Belgium, Denmark,
Germany, England, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Wales, Sweden, and Switzerland. Same-sex relationships and the promotion of same-sex relationships are criminalized in Qatar. England, Wales, and Denmark all played without taking a stand while Germany players issued a different protest to Qatar's civil rights.

However, after teams decided to opt out of their protestation for the risk of being automatically booked, the German players have leveled up their protestation as Manel Neuer wore the OneLove armband as well.
