Juventus dealt a boost with Chiesa’s return to training

The Bianconeri have been dealing with a lot of injury setbacks this season, but since Federico Chiesa is about to return to action, they have been given a boost.

Federico Chiesa

has given Juventus a boost when he returned to training after nine months as he was dealing with an anterior cruciate ligament injury. The Italian had to go under the knife after he sustained the injury during his side’s victory over Roma in January, which had him out for the remainder of the previous season.

Chiesa, who helped Italy win the Euro 2020 last year, met the back of the net four times and contributed two assists across all competitions last season before he became injured. The club released a statement about the attacker, saying that he "began a partial and gradual return to the group" on Monday after the club manager revealed that he is hopeful that the Italy international would come back before the World Cup begins.

The Bianconeri will lock horns with Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League on Wednesday after their back-to-back losses against Paris Saint-Germain and Benfica. This is the first time Juventus have suffered three losses in their first three opening games in the Champions League and the last time they failed to win a game in their first three games back in the 2013-14 season, they were eliminated in the group stage.
