Arteta reciprocated Conte's talk before London derby

The two coaches have special respect for each other and have praised each other in their recent talks.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised Tottenham manager Antonio Conte before the London derby.

The two teams will face each other in the London derby on Saturday and will hold an important match. Arsenal is currently the leader of the league, but Spurs has the opportunity to win tomorrow's match and take the top of the table. Conte recently praised the Spanish coach and claimed that he has made a big change in the team and the players. Arteta, who has won 6 in 7 games, also praised the Italian coach and claimed that with his presence, the competition between the two teams has increased and improved.

The Spanish manager said:

"Not only the start but the journey they had since Antonio joined as well and how things changed. They have a clear identity... both teams expect a tough match [on Saturday]."

ٍEmile Smith Rowe has played just 48 minutes for Arsenal this season and the club confirmed in a statement on Thursday that he had undergone surgery. Arteta claimed that the decision to have the operation was made by the player.

He added:

"We had to make a decision and we could not continue with that uncertainty.

"The player was the first one demanding that he wanted an end decision and then we have to support him on that.

"After a surgery it's very difficult to give a timeline. We need to go step-by-step. We know before the World Cup he's not going to be involved."

The Spanish head coach also avoided answering questions about the possibility of Thomas Partey, Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchekno in his team's lineup for tomorrow's match.
