Italy's Mancini hails England as “one of the best teams in the world”

After winning Euro 2020 final over England last year, Italy is set to face the Three Lions again on Friday in a UEFA Nations League clash with their boss full of praise for Gareth Southgate’s men.

Despite winning the European Championship in 2020,

Italy

missed qualifying for the 2022 Qatar World Cup. This makes their last two Nations League games more important for the Azzurri as they face England on Friday before another clash against Hungary.

Meanwhile, although

England

qualified for the World Cup, they have failed to win any of their last four games as they face relegation to League B of Nations League.

However,

Roberto Mancini

won’t underestimate his Friday opponents. He told his press conference: "

The English team is a great team. It was a great team in Euro 2020 and it was a great team before.

"I think England is one of the best teams in the world. It's full of talent, especially the forwards. They have many players apart from Harry Kane, who is an extraordinary player, but the young players around him can make a difference. So it will be a very hard match for us."

England

have just two points in this Nations League as they are at the bottom of their group. Dropping any points against Italy or

Germany

can be fatal for Gareth Southgate's men.
