fans last season.

At the end of the last Premier League season, Cristiano Ronaldo made headlines during

Manchester United

's away match against Everton. After the end of this match, which was held in April and ended with United's defeat, Cristiano hit a 14-year-old boy with autism while entering the stadium tunnel.

Ronaldo's hit on this teenager's hand caused his hand to be bruised and caused this teenager's mobile phone to fall to the ground and break. The English teenager was filming Ronaldo on the stands of the Goodison Park stadium as he was leaving the field and entering the stadium tunnel.

Ronaldo shared an apology on his Instagram at the time and said:

"It's never easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments such as the one we are facing.

"Nevertheless, we always have to be respectful, patient and set the example for all the youngsters who love the beautiful game.

"I would like to apologise for my outburst and, if possible, I would like to invite this supporter to watch a game at Old Trafford as a sign of fair-play and sportsmanship."

The Portuguese star is currently on international duty and has to face the Czech Republic and then Spain in the Nations League. Manchester United also announced their full support for the Portuguese star by publishing a statement and claimed that they will defend the winner of 5 Ballon d'Or.
