Schmeichel shares an emotional thread after departing from Leicester

Schmeichel will go to Nice and leave England after more than a decade.

After a decade at the club,

Leicester City

goalkeeper

Kasper Schmeichel

has paid tribute to his good days at the club with a thread on Twitter.

The 35-year-old goalkeeper will go to Ligue 1 to play for Nice. He spent good days at Leicester City and won the Premier League title with this team in 2016. He, who joined the King Power Stadium in 2011, discussed the highlights of his days in this stadium.

He started with Leicester City's promotion to the Premier League in 2014 and quickly went on to win the historic Premier League title. He posted a photo with his teammates who won the trophy and medal, describing the title as a "dream come true" and claiming he wasn't sure it would happen again in football.

Schmeichel posted a photo of himself with David Beckham holding the Premier League trophy together and captioned it, "An evening he'll never forget."

He then posted a photo of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha's 6th birthday and remembered him, who died in a helicopter crash in 2018. He ended this series by winning the FA Cup and Community Shield in 2021 and called it a historic and proud event.
