Capello: Dybala's move Roma can shift Serie A balance

Former Roma manager Fabio Capello says Paulo Dybala can make Jose Mourinho's men Serie A contenders.

Juventus

after 7 years as a free agent is on the verge of joining

Roma

and currently is in Roma’s pre-season training camp in Portugal.

Dybala scored 82 goals in 210 Serie A appearances for Juventus and former Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello says Roma with him can win the Serie A.

Capello told Il Messaggero:

”Dybala’s arriving could shift the balance at the top of Serie A. He is a great player, one of those who make a difference.

"[He can] raise the level of the team and change something in Serie A, because Roma is now in the group of favorites.

"If Mourinho calls you himself, it becomes really difficult to say no.”

Roma last won the Serie A in 2001 under Capello and he says there are similarities between his team and Jose Mourinho's side.

"The comparison is plausible. I see many similarities.

"I think that Mourinho, as happened to me in that season, will try to guarantee balance in a team with enormous offensive potential.

"Roma, after all, was doomed to attack; we had Cafu and [Vincent] Candela outside. I needed some cover."
