Nottingham Forest want Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson

Nottingham Forest wants to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson on a loan deal.

According to the English press, newly promoted

Forest

wants to sign

Henderson

on loan with the option to buy for around £20 million and the 25-year-old goalkeeper is open to this move.

Henderson is unlikely to fit into Erik ten Hag's plans and wants to leave Old Trafford for playing time. Newcastle and Bournemouth also expressed interest in Henderson. 

Henderson graduate from

Manchester United

academy and signed his first professional contract with the club in 2015. Since then he has loaned out to Stockport County, Grimsby Town, Shrewsbury Town, and Sheffield United.

Henderson was Sheffield United's first-choice keeper Henderson and played 36 times in the Premier League. He returned to United in 2020 and made 26 appearances in all competitions but last season he lost his place to David De Gea and played just three games last season, making no appearances in the Premier League.

Henderson has played in one match for England and was included in the squad for Euro 2020 before missing out through injury.

Brice Samba was Forest's first-choice goalkeeper last season but he has turned down a new deal and there is a possibility he could leave.
