Tottenham Hotspur interested in signing Richarlison from Everton

Sat 11 June 2022 | 18:20

Tottenham Hotspur is about to make an opening offer for Richarlison, an Everton forward who wants to leave.

Richarlison

was a big reason

Everton

stayed in the Premier League. He scored six goals in his last nine games, giving him 10 goals in 28 starts.

Richarlison wants to leave the club so he can play in the Champions League. In April, he switched agents to make sure a move happened this summer. Sources say the forward is now being shown to clubs in the Premier League and elsewhere in Europe.

90min understands Spurs want to add the 25-year-old to their attack as they get ready to play in the Champions League again. The Spurs will make their first offer sometime next week, but Everton will not settle for less than £60 million.

In the past few weeks, European giants

Atletico Madrid

and Paris Saint-Germain have been in touch with Everton about Richarlison, as have their London rivals

Chelsea

and Arsenal.

According to a May report by

90min

, Everton was likely to sell either Richarlison or England striker

Dominic Calvert-Lewin

this summer to fix their money problems.

The Toffees are also happy to let players like Michael Keane and Andre Gomes leave, and they haven't given new contracts to players like Fabian Delph, Cenk Tosun, and Gylfi Sigurdsson, which has cut their salary costs by a lot. Also, 90min recently reported that the Toffees are about to improve their defense by getting James Tarkowski from Burnley on a free transfer.
