in 2017 for € 60 million and joined Arsenal on a five-year deal. He has already announced that he is ready to return to Lyon and is in talks with many clubs. Lyon have now confirmed that the French striker will return to the club.

Club's statement reads:

"Olympique Lyonnais are very proud and very happy to announce the return to the club of its striker, trained at OL, Alexandre Lacazette for the next three seasons.

"At the end of the contract with the English club Arsenal, the France international has signed up until June 30, 2025."

Lacazette had a disappointing season with Arsenal, failing to score, and they did not advance to the Champions League. He played 30 games in the Premier League but scored only 4 goals, which is his weakest figure since the 2012-13 season. However, the French striker, with his high creativity, played an effective role in Arteta's side and topped the team with 7 assists alongside Bukayo Saka.
