Kylian Mbappe has sensationally turned down the opportunity to join Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe

has rejected Real Madrid and signed a contract with

PSG

until 2025. On Saturday, the French forward called

Florentino Perez

to tell him that he would not be moving to

La Liga

, even though he had been in promising talks with the Spanish champions just last week. Mbappe may have wanted to tell the president of Real why he chose to stay at his hometown club before the news got out.

Almost a year ago, they decided to reject an offer of 200 million euros from

Real Madrid

at the cost of him leaving this summer as a free agent. However, the player's mother, Fayza Lamari, had opened up a new situation from the outset that no one expected.

"I'm thrilled to continue the adventure here at Paris Saint-Germain. To stay in Paris, my city. I hope that I will continue to do what I prefer to with you all… and win titles together! Thanks a lot." Kylian Mbappe said after the contract extension with PSG.

Nasser Al Khelaifi

also had some words on Kylian Mbappe's decision to stay in PSG. "I'm proud to give you beautiful news: Kylian Mbappe has signed until June 2025 with Paris Saint-Germain."

The fact is that Mbappe's renewal means significant changes are on the way at the Parc des Princes. He wants some things to change at the club, and it seems that the board is in agreement. From next week, the club will start to announce these changes, which could start with sporting director Leonardo. It remains to be decided if he will accept another role at the club or finally prefer to resign.
