Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that Erik ten Hag, the new Manchester United manager, must be allowed time to flourish at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman was named the Red Devils' new coach in April, and he just won his third consecutive Eredivisie title as
Ajaxmanager earlier this week.
A recruitment meeting set up by Ten Hag with key figures behind the scenes at United was recently covered by

Cristiano Ronaldotold Man Utd's Spanish website that the team must be patient with his new manager and that 'things must alter' as he wishes in order to help the club win trophies.
"I know he did a wonderful job at Ajax and is an experienced coach," Ronaldo added, "but we have to give him time. Things must alter in his favor. If he succeeds,
Manchester Unitedas a whole will be successful, so I wish him well. Not just as players, but also as supporters, we are all thrilled and excited about his presence. We have to believe that we can win titles next year."
Ronaldo's return to Manchester United from Juventus has not gone as planned so far, but he has still managed to score 24 goals in 38 games since his return.
United will not be able to compete in the
Champions League
next season and will instead compete in the Europa League or Europa Conference League. They are currently fifth in the Premier League table, and a top-six finish is required to qualify for the Europa League.
