Nagelsmann: "We really should have been 3-0 up after 15 minutes"

Bayern Munich extended their nine-point advantage at the top of the Bundesliga table with a 3-0 win against relegation-threatened Arminia Bielefeld, putting them within striking distance of a 10th consecutive league title.

With only four matches remaining, the

Bavarians

bounced back from their stunning

Champions League

loss at the hands of Villarreal on Tuesday with a strong win, regaining their lead over second-placed Borussia Dortmund ahead of their critical Klassiker next Saturday in Munich.

Nagelsmann on why he subbed Nianzou off:

"That was a lesson for him, because going for the opponent's head like that is dangerous. He has to learn that at this age. For me that was a red card!"

"The first 20 minutes were very good. We really should have been 3-0 up after 15 minutes. It was a deserved win, even though it got a bit tough at the end. In the second half, It was understandable that we had more control.

"We are happy that we now have this match point for the title in the game against Dortmund next week. We want to take it"

The 34-year-old coach continued:

"It's like in economy, if you want to have a top product, you have to invest. If you want to be among the top 4 in Europe in the long term, then we have to make decisions."

Nagelsmann commented on Salihamidžić saying the

Bundesliga

giants will not take risks on the market:

"There are also good solutions that are not so risky. We're discussing that internally. For me, it's important to see where things are headed. We must not sleep through several transfer windows"
