Nagelsmann eyeing Mbappe and De Jong but can’t afford them

Bayern Munich have always had a big eye for the best players on the market, but many of the best performers are not available even for them.

Julian Nagelsmann

believes acquiring the services of

Kylian Mbappe

and

Frenkie de Jong

would be a dream come true for

Bayern Munich

, but knows that they do not have a chance of landing them.

Kylian Mbappe from

Paris Saint-Germain

may make a move in the summer as his deal is due to expire when the season ends.

The France international, however, is going to work on a lucrative contract for the next season, whereas the Netherlands international is a crucial part of Barcelona’s project.

Nagelsmann is interested in signing with the two tents, telling Amazon Prime when quizzed about the recruitments he would make should there be enough money:

“Mbappe is certainly not wrong for any team. I also think that Frenkie de Jong is a very good player.

“Both would go beyond the scope of our financial possibilities.”

The Frenchman has not yet made his future decisions clear, with many believing he would make a move to

Real Madrid

.

PSG, meanwhile, are not giving up on penning a new contract with him. Barcelona are not worried about De Jong, whose deal runs until 2026.

He is one of the players who thrived under Xavi’s reign this season and recently said “yes, probably” when quizzed whether he would pen another six-year deal.
