Sergi Roberto reportedly to leave Barcelona next season

Sergi Roberto's future seems more likely to lay outside of Camp Nou.

According to

Mundo Deportivo

the Catalan's agreement with

Barcelona

ends at the conclusion of this season, but talks to extend it have stagnated and do not appear to be restarting anytime soon.

The dynamic player is currently out with an injury, but he wants to stay in Barcelona. In December, the club gave him a two-year contract with lesser pay than he had previously received. However, there was a dispute on the factors, and the plan crumbled.

The 30-year-old has spent his whole career with the Blaugrana, appearing in 316 games for the first squad, scoring 12 goals and assisting 37 times. He's played in 12 games this season, logging 567 minutes and scoring two goals and one assist.

As they enter a new phase, Barcelona is looking to freshen their roster. Under Xavi Hernandez's guidance, they've progressively improved and are presently in third place in

LaLiga

.
