Juve worried about Dybala’s contract extension?

As per many reports in Italy, Paulo Dybala agreed to pen an extension contract with the Bianconeri, but his agent went back to Argentina and Max Allegri revealed that the two parties ‘are still in talks”.

Paulo Dybala

’s contract is due to expire when the season ends but reports claim that

Juventus

and the striker have reached an agreement before, with the

Argentina

international’s signature being ‘the only thing missing’ to complete the deal.

The Argentinean had agreed to pen a €10m-a-year deal until 2026, with bonuses and upon his arrival in Turin last week, many were confident he would finally put pen to paper for an extension deal.

However, Jorge Antun has gone back to Argentina and Dybala has yet to sign with Juve and extend his stay in Turin.

Massimiliano Allegri

gave an update regarding the striker’s future during today’s press conference.

I haven’t talked to the club about his contract extension,”

the coach admitted.

“I know there was a meeting with his agent a few days ago, I don’t know the latest developments. I think they are in talks and it’s normal at this stage. It’s a big contract. Juventus have invested a lot on Dybala.”

“I think the club has other things to sort out right now,”

Dybala said at the beginning of December

.

“The contract renewal can wait. What’s happening elsewhere is more important.”

Dybala is free on paper and has the freedom to speak with any other club without Juve’s consent in January.
