DFB to investigate Bellingham after match fixing claim

The English star was very angry with the referee's judgment and made statements that could be to his detriment.

Jude Bellingham

is under investigation by the German Football Association after allegations of collusion in yesterday's match between Dortmund and

Bayern Munich

Last night, Dortmund hosted Bayern Munich at home, and while they were ahead of their opponents at first, they finally lost 3-2 and lost three points. After the game, Bellingham, who was very angry with the referee's decisions, claimed in an interview that the German Football Association should not use a referee with a history of collusion for the game.

He said:

"For me, it wasn't [a penalty].

"[Mats] Hummels isn't even looking at the ball, he's fighting to get it and it just sort of hits him, it hits him and I don't even think he's looking at the ball.

"You can look at a lot of the decisions in the game, you give a referee that has match-fixed before the biggest game in Germany, what do you expect?"

German Football Association referee supervisor, Marco Haase, has now claimed that Bellingham will be under investigation for his remarks. Anton Nachreiner, chairman of the control committee of the German Football Association, said in this regard:

"The control committee will examine the statement of the Dortmund player Jude Bellingham for its relevance to sports criminal law."

Michael Zorc, Dortmund director said:

"The boy is 18, talking after a heated, emotional game. He names old facts, you don't have to do that. He's just a hot spur.

The things are in the world now, but we stand by him. I don't see anything problematic in terms of criminal law."

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn also spoke about the English star's words:

"I'm the last one who doesn't understand player emotions. That goes a huge step too far, of course. I don't remember any player saying that before. I don't know how he got the idea to make such a statement."
