Barcelona do not intend to bring back Dani Alves

Barcelona put an end to rumors about the possible return of Dani Alves to the team.

Reports suggest that

Barcelona

have no plans to bring back former defender Dani Alves to strengthen the defense.

The 38-year-old defender intends to return to action after leaving Sao Paulo in September and recently expressed an interest in playing for Barcelona and playing again at the Camp Nou . His remarks sparked many reports of Barca negotiating to sign Alves in January, but Marca has claimed that Barcelona are not interested in working with the Brazilian defender again.

Despite a number of injuries in the Barcelona squad, they have no plans to add a player to the squad and prefer to share minutes between Sergino Dest and Sergi Roberto in the right-back position.

Barcelona have expressed their respect and interest in Alves, but they have claimed that they are moving in another direction. Marca claims that Raheem Sterling is currently Barcelona's most serious transfer option and it remains to be seen what the Blaugrana will do in the transfer window.
