Alexander Isak has revealed his ambition to continue his career in England.
Since his 2019 move from Borussia Dortmund,Alexander Isak
has established himself as a key player in Real Sociedad's squad. Last week, the Swedish striker made his 100th La Liga appearance in Sociedad's 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao, scoring his 38th goal for the Basque side.
Despite being linked with multiple clubs, Isak extended his contract with La Real until 2026 at the beginning of the current season. However, the 22-year-old is still eager to join a Premier League club at one point in his career.
"I am in a good place at the moment, I am very happy, but one day it would be nice to play in England,"
he toldThe Independent
"They have six or seven of the biggest clubs in the world, it's a very high level, and of course, one day it could be an alternative.
"Every player wants to be the best version of themselves and reach the highest possible level.
"People will always count the goals a striker scorers, and I always want to score, but I want to be a modern striker.
"I love playing football and that means being involved as much as possible. I think that's why Spain has suited me very well."
Sociedad are leading the La Liga table with 25 points from their 12 games, surprising their La Liga rivals with great consistency. After the international break, Isak and his teammates will return to La Liga action with a match against Valencia on November 21.
