Gravina believes the siginig of Cristiano Ronaldo was a mistake by

Ronaldo left for Juventus in 2018, after three consecutive Champions League title with Real Madrid. He had a good performance in Juve and recorded very good statistics, but except for two Serie A titles, he could not get any more honor with this team and failed to win the Champions League. He left for Manchester last summer to join his former club, and now Gravina has claimed that his signing by Juventus was a bad move by Juventus.

Asked if signing of Ronaldo was right, he said:

"I don’t think so, not for my philosophy.

“It was good for Italian football, but I don’t think it was a positive operation for Juventus.

“As for the Serie A title, I see Napoli and the Milanese clubs well equipped. However, there are always surprises in football. It will be a great season.”

Gravina hopes that Italy will be able to host Euro 2028 to resolve the financial crisis facing the country's football. He added:

“We are not bankrupt, we are facing the same issues as other European counties.

“At the moment, we are experiencing great difficulties, which the pandemic made worst causing a further €1 billion loss. However, Italian football is attractive, it has an extraordinary appeal compared to other counties, but it has not been developed as it deserves.

“We must work altogether, modernise football and get rid of incidents that have been happened since a few weeks.”
