Max Allegri jokes about Kean advice ahead of Roma clash
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri joked about what he told Moise Kean and explained why he decided not to include Alex Sandro for their clash with Roma.
Two of Italy’s biggest clubs lock horns on Sunday evening, with Juventus hosting AS Roma in a very important clash at the Allianz Stadium.
Massimiliano Allegri
and
José Mourinho
meet at the Allianz Stadium with the
Juventuscoach who has won only two of their previous eight meetings.
Speaking during his pre-match interview with
DAZN
, Allegri was asked what he had told
Kean
to do differently compared to his last appearance.
“Score a goal for a start, that would be important,”
smiled
Allegri
.
“It’s a great game to be a part of and thankfully there’s more of a crowd because of the new rules, so it’s important for us to take another step up the table.”
Alex Sandro
is left out of the squad as he was still suffering from jet lag after flying back from international duty in Brazil.
“Poor thing, yesterday he went in the wrong door. He was trying to enter the locker room and went the other way by mistake, so I figured it was best to let him rest and not play today.”
Allegri meets Mourinho for the ninth time, he’s only won two games, while Mourinho won four matches.
“There is great respect and mutual admiration, of course. He is a great coach and it’s wonderful to have him here again in Serie A.
“It is Juventus-Roma, not a clash between Allegri and Mourinho, which is how it should be.”
